The Star City 2 Surf - What to do!

The Cathedral Square Start - 12km
All participants gather in Cathedral Square
* In line skaters - start 9.00am, assemble on the north side of the square. You will start first to ensure a clear path. Cheapskates High St provide skate hire.
* Runners - start at 9.05am, assemble on the north side of the square
* Walkers - start after the runners, assemble on the south side of the square (BNZ side of the Cathedral)

Late registrations
You will be able to enter on the day until 8.45am from one of the following
* BNZ Hereford St
* Outside Bailies Bar
* Outside Police Kiosk
* By the Chalice

Clothing
The clothing truck will be sited by the ANZ in Cathedral Square and open from 7.45am. Attach your clothing sticker to the bag provided. Your bag will be transported to QEII and your clothing can be collected from the entertainment area.

The Porritt Park Start - The Heart Foundation 6km
All participants gather at Porritt Park
* 9.45am - Warm up with a fitness instruction from the CCC Recreation & Leisure Centres
*Walkers and runners in the 6km distance start at 10am and merge with the 12km entrants.

Late registrations available from Porritt Park until 9.45am

Drink Stations
There will be three drink stations along the course, serving water. A free bottle of Pump will be provided to each participant at the finish.

Finish Line
On entering the finish chute you will receive your certificate. To avoid congestion please move quickly through the gates and exit the stadium to the entertainment area on the Ascot Ground. Please follow the signs.

Prize Giving
Prize giving starts at approximately 12.30pm in the Ascot Ground, north of QEII Stadium.

Transport
Red Bus will provide a bus service ($2 kids, $4.00 adults) for participants from QEII into the city centre. The buses will leave from Ascot Terrace from late morning. Click here for more details.

Entertainment
Once youve collected your certificate stay and enjoy the free entertainment. At the 'After Dash Bash' the CCC Sport & Recreation team will conduct a warm down for participants and also amaze on-lookers with a fitness demonstration. Sit back, relax and enjoy D'n'D Showband playing a wide range of classic pop and rock. D'n'D (aka Dateless and Desperate) will get those tired feet tapping! D'n'D will also perform a swinging 60's tribute - The Super 60's set. Sample the mouth-watering food on offer from the local food vendors, wander around the stalls and have a fun and relaxing day!

Kids' Entertainment area.
In addition to the free entertainment on stage, check out the Kids Entertainment area. Creating a great family fun day out this area will include an outdoor Ice Skating rink, bungy trampolines, bouncy castle and face painting! Kids - bring your pocket money and enjoy the activities on hand.
