The Course - 2013

The 2013 Star City to Surf with Powerade will start at Pioneer Stadium's Centennial Park, the Heart Foundation 6k will start at the lower fields of Opawa School, predominately following the Heathcote River to finish at Ferrymead Playing Fields.

Please note: The main event is just over 14km due to the new route.
 
All participants should be assembled at Centennial Park by 8.45am.
 
Runners start at 9.00am.
Walkers start after the runners.
Late registrations will be available from the start location until 8.45am.
A clothing truck will be open from 7.45am. Attach your clothing sticker to the bag provided, your bag will be transported to Ferrymead Playing Fields(opposite Ferrymead Heritage Park).Your clothing bag can be collected from the entertainment area.
Registration stickers must be worn and visable throughout the event.
No Dogs or Bicycles Permitted, thank you

All participants are encouraged to park their cars at the designated parking area at Ferrymead Playing Fields and catch the special Red Bus service to assemble at the lower playing fields of Opawa School.
 
Warm up with a Snap Fitness instructor from 9.40am.
Start All participants (runners & walkers) will start at 10.00am
Late registrations will be available from the start location until 9.45am.

Other Race Information
 
Drink Stations: There are 3 along the course route providing water. A free bottle of Powerade is given to each participant upon crossing the finishing line.
Finish Line: Upon entering the finish chute you will receive your certificate.
Prize Giving: Starts at approximately 12.15pm. Registration stickers must be presented in order to claim any prizes.
Entertainment: Once you have collected your certificate and bottle of Powerade, stay and enjoy the free entertainment. Sit back, relax and enjoy the D'n'D Showband playing a wide range of classic pop and rock.
Free Entry to Ferrymead Heritage Park:  Your registration sticker will provide you with free entry into Ferrymead Heritage Park. Valid Sunday March 24th 2013 only.

The Star City 2 Surf Entry is only $15 per person, under 5's free.
 

Shuttle Buses

Buses have been chartered especially for The Star City to Surf participants, and cost $2.50 per child (up to the age of 17) and $5 per adult.
