The 2016 Star City2Surf 14km event starts at Pioneer Stadium’s Centennial Park and predominately follows the Heathcote River to finish at Ferrymead Playing Fields.

6km

The Sport Canterbury 6km starts at Hansen Park, Opawa.

Please note: The main event is just over 14km due to the new route.

All participants should be assembled at Centennial Park by 8.45am.

Participants in the City2Surf create delays to motorists along the route. A requirement of our traffic management plan is that once the main bunch of participants have passed, groups of runners and walkers will be stopped for short periods at major road crossings (eg Barrington Street, Colombo Street) to allow traffic queues to clear. We appreciate your cooperation with this request.

Runners start at 9.00am.
Walkers start after the runners.
Late registrations will be available from the start location until 8.45am.
A clothing truck will be open from 7.45am. Attach your clothing sticker to the bag provided, your bag will be transported to Ferrymead Playing Fields (opposite Ferrymead Heritage Park).Your clothing bag can be collected from the entertainment area.
Registration stickers must be worn and visible throughout the event.
No Dogs, bicycles or rollerblades permitted.

The Sport Canterbury 6km

Please note:
The Sport Canterbury 6km will start at Hansens Park, Opawa.

Warm up with a Snap Fitness instructor from 9.40am.
Start All participants (runners & walkers) will start at 10.00am
Late registrations will be available from the start location until 9.45am.
A clothing truck will be open from 9.15am, attach your clothing sticker to the bag provided, your bag will be transported to Ferrymead Playing Fields. Your clothing bag can be collected from the entertainment area.
Registration stickers must be worn and visible throughout the event.
No Dogs, bicycles or rollerblades permitted.
